I see a lot of comments about AC winning, and being expected to win, but fanboys?

Does it make you a fanboy if you expect the favourite to win?

Are you lot still arguing about this?

It's very likely that, with an uninterupted preparation, unlike last year, Armstrong will be in better shape in July than he was last year.

The problem for him is that Menchov, Sastre, Evans, Wiggins, Vande Velde, Nibali, Schleck (probably) and Gesink will be better than last year, and Valverde will be there too. The one who probably won't improve, but will say about the same, is Contador. But then he probably wasn't pushed 100% last year either.

It should be a great race - let's enjoy it when the time comes.

I disagree(gee, go figure). I don't think you can say for sure who will or who will not improve in any given year. Sports is full of people who, one year, wow everyone and barely get their names mentioned the next. Conventional wisdom says that, yes, of course, they will be better that last year, or at least they are SUPPOSED to be. The reality of it can be very different when people try to train to a very, very, high level like a TDF contender. There are many cases of people who dominate one year and are gone the next, only to come back the following and win again. For some people it would seem that good form comes and goes and for others, say LA, they seem to found the secret to doing it every year. I wouldn't bet for or against any of the above mentioned names.
