Turbo trainers

The turbo i have atm has a very steep power curve so when ever you put much power down the restance goes up but its to the level that it like riding up a 15-20% hill.

I was wondering if all turbos are like that or can you get ones which have a constant restance what ever speed you are going at?

    Mine is an old Tacx variable magnetic resistance unit that has a pretty linear speed v power relationship (ie 10% speed increase gives ~10% power increase).

    Sounds like you have a duff unit? What make/model is it?
