Can anyone else get into this. It seems to have stopped working about 2 days ago, and I have been unable to log any rides since then - annoying as I was about 32nd on the monthly league !

In case it has gone forever, are there any other on-line log sites?

Cheers

Hadn't seen that the twitter was gone too. That's not a good sign :( I had only been on for a week.

<edit>Turns out their flickr page has been removed too..... :( </edit>

    From the CycleChat website:
OK I've heard from Mr Cyclogs...

The good news is the domain registration has not lapsed and all the ride data has been backed up.

It's the same problem that occurred before - the hosting service claim it is taking up too much server capacity.

The bad news is there is no obvious answer so he has to check all the code, polarise the dilithium crystals and all that sort thing, but as noted above, he does it in his spare time so there's no way of knowing how long it will take.

Pen and paper or a spreadsheet for the duration. Keep calm and carry on.

  • This issue really goes to show the uncertainty of web based data. You can pump all your figures into one of these for a few years, and then the next day it's gone !

I have downloaded a free app to do this now, not as good as cyclogs, but mine forever (Moah..ha..ha..ha).

    Cheers
  • Does anyone know the email of the cyclogs creator? I was wondering if I could help sort out the site or set up some way to get the logs people have out from inside the server so we can carry on logging in excel. then when the site is running it can be loaded back into the site.
