Turbo queries???

A couple of questions re using the dreaded turbo.
Q1 When riding at a specific heart rate & cadence, what difference does it make riding seated or standing? ie if I keep to the right HR am I getting the same work-out?
Q2 I don't use a cooling fan (I don't have one) so inevitably my heart rate drifts higher during a session. I was once told that by not using one I would condition myself for riding in hot weather (whatever that is). Does anyone have any idea as to the percentage drift once sweating starts (usually after 10 mins).
Thanks for any help.

When I'm doing long climbs on the tacx Fortius I alternate between sitting and standing. I usually try to keep the power constant and use a considerably higher cadence when sitting. For the same power HR creeps higher when standing (by about 5bpm in zone 5), but for some reason it's still easier to alternate and spend about half of the time standing, and it feels equally knackering doing either. I don't know if that means you would be getting less of a work out if you were standing and keeping HR (rather than power) constant.0
