How easy/hard did you find it was to set up the brakes? I've got the cheaper version and found them a bit of a pain.

    NapoleonD,

    Very sweet bike. Love it.

I have a quick question for you, I would like to store the bike vertically like you did. I own a Cervelo R3 with Zipp 404 tubs like your front wheel.

What's the make of the wall mount hook you are using? Is it the 'Delta' they are currently selling at Evans for £9.99? Did you have to modify to work with the 404?

    Thanks for your help,
    Manny

Cheers, I'm really pleased! It's going to make a huge difference to my life and bring new meaning to everything I do. It's a really beautiful thing.

I'm quite chuffed about the baby as well.

Depends what rank you are ;)

Plus, seeing as I spent a fortune on bikes, I am skint!

  • Hahaha yer fair one, saying that I have just got Dave Millars 2009 race bike, which I cannot wait to get home from here in sunny Sangin to ride, just need a nice set of wheels got a 808 front on my TT bike, might get a rear one or save for a set of 303 tubs

I just sold my rear 808...

My 404 may well be up for sale soon too.

Personally I'd go 404 rather than 303, very little weight penalty but stiffer and more aero...

Looking forward to pics of your new Felt!
  • I cant wait to get home and ride it again, only got one ride on it on my RnR, its getting me through this shit hole being on it again, ive got a post up with some un built pics on but never got round to putting the rest up, but im home very soon.

The 404 is a great wheel, I borrowed a set to test but I struggle with them in side winds, the 808 is good on my TT bike but having more weight on the front negates the side wind effect for me, also im quite lucky I know someone from the Garmin squad who I get most of my stuff from got my 808 for 500 quid and my 900 disk with powertap for 800, couldent justify the outlay for tubs otherwise, but I really want a set of the Mavics!!!

  • Open letter to Zipp:-

You're making your wheels wrong. You people don't know what you're doing. Why is the rear wheel rim deeper than the front one if the rear wheel gets 'dirty air'? Wouldn't it be better for the front one to be deeper?
