Since this seems to be the month of inventions.

Transporters, replicators, sky-net, AI, terminators, androids, warp-drive, hyper-space, tricorders, star-gates, phasers, light sabers et al.

If you had to come up with a sci-fi invention what would it be?

    Has to be warp type drives - otherwise all the action would happen in one place. Star Trek would have been like that fly on the wall documentary Airline.

    The matrix but individual ones that you can programme yourself so you can get out of your crappy real life and live a not crappy fake one that feels every bit as real.
  • I'd like plug in brain modules so I could land in Kazakhstan (or some other place where I don't speak the lingo), plug in the relevant language chip and voila...

    Personally I would invent Kelly LeBrock as in Weird Science....

    Would any red blooded man disagree? (and maybe a few pink blooded girls!!)

    Yes, but your invention turns into this;

    Kelly today

    The artificially generated Improbability Field (as used by Zaphod Beeblebrox).

    I like the idea of being able to make something really, really unlikely happen just by pressing a button.

    on a serious note :lol: maybe a personal force field powered by an indiscreet little power pack that would also power the lights on my bike and maybe also power little heating elements placed in the grips of my bars.

    Ohh Ohh maybe cleats and heating elements all in one so as you pedal you get to warm your feet :wink:

    Nowt wrong with those lips.

    Sure they would create drag on a road bike, but they surely have over uses.... 8)
