    I'm not sure if they are still available but I got a brand new set of Hayes Stroker Ryde brakes from Chain Reaction for around £70!

    I'd go for Avid Juicy 5s, just the same as 7s but without the contact dial which I never used the hole time I had them , good modulation and very easy to bleed, well once you get your head round it, I had a set of Hayes strokers, I found them a nightmare, to bleed, I always ended up getting brake fluid evrey where and made a mess plus I could nver get them to stop rubbing the rotor and squeeling.... I tride everey thing. .never again
