Got a Cycleops Supermagneto Pro which I'm happy with . Evans doing it for £214.99 less 10 per cent. Ribble doing it for just under £200. It is rock solid and fairly quiet.

I recently bought a Cycleops Jetfluid Pro as it was about £200 on special and supposed to be very quiet .... I've found it incredibly noisy using my Continental Ultragatorskins and had not been using it as it's so loud. But this evening I tried my new Open Pave tyres - which made it noticeably quieter - so I've just ordered a Continental turbo tyre as well - as they are supposed to be quieter still. Happy to report back once I have it - but you may want to budget for some extra bits like that too, especially if you want it to be quiet.

I got an elite basic magnetic fluid one: lovely and quet and cost about £140. Does everything I want. BUdget for a riser block or two (about £15 each, as far as I remember) as well.
