Good winter turbo sessions

Forecast is for some pretty rubbish weather in the coming weeks so I'll probably be in the turbo more than I'd like. Summer sessions are easy with lots of different intervals available but are there any good ones people use during winter? At the moment I'm just doing an hour of tempo riding. Nice enough but it can be a bit dull.

Depends if you are following a structured training plan as alot of people are in their 'base' periods which is lots of miles in zones 2 and 3 for example.

Personally im doing the same, lots of turbo sessions which is a killer as I want to get out on the road, but im trying to work towards 2hrs of zone 2 riding. Tend to just stick a dvd on and hope for the best :)

Yes, I'm in my base period at the moment.

So far my week is mapped out something like:

    Easy ride
    1hr tempo
    Longer ride
Speed drills - either high cadence or single leg drills
    Moderate hills
    Longer ride
    Longer ride

It's the longer rides I'm struggling for ideas.
