Read on Evans the reviews of Endura MT500 MTB overshoes. Some unhappy customers of those too, on the quality. Poor quality zips.0

I am considering the Ultraflex -but might be overkill for road use.
I've been using BBB Waterflex for a couple of years and only just starting to see any signs of wear on them.1998 Marin Hawk Hill

The BBB shoes appear decent, harder wearing, just not as popular. They use industrial zips.
The moral is buy a decent pair or end up buying twice.
These BBB Ultra Flex look like they will last a long long time.

I really like my Craft Nemo overshoes http://www.alwaysriding.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=591&go_read=1#BPRWrapper.
They're made of 3mm neoprene like the Pros and have a full length zip on the side so are easy to get on and off. Never had cold feet in them and they look cool too.0 -

Can anyone recommend another pair for £20-30? Are the non-neoprene ones colder than the neoprene ones? Colder would not be good!
cheers.
I destroyed them in one ride. Unless you have a perfect pedalling style - ie your heels don't touch the cranks avoid these.
+1. I've patched mine with pieces of inner tube and rubber cement which seems to work, but the rate at which they wear is pretty rubbish IMO.
I also have the MT500s and found that the rubber tread bit at the front is way too chunky and catches on the crank - I ended up chopping bits off it.
Not very impressive Endura!

The BBB Waterflex main properties are waterproof. Do they provide any warmth as well?0 -
My better half bought me a pair of Gore overshoes for Christmas. They seem good quality and don't rub, but I've destroyed the bit under the toes on both of them. Holes started coming through after 2 rides and I'm only walking a tiny bit! Dare not show her what has happened or she will go madBlogging about junior road bikes http://junior-road-bikes.tumblr.com0

I haven't noticed that my toes have been particularly cold whilst splashing around the woods recently. Looking at the other items mentioned so far, some of them are 3mm neoprene and I found when I was looking to buy that they don't stretch enough to go over my size 50 shoes but the Waterflex in 47/48 accommodate them nicely.1998 Marin Hawk Hill

Right ta, i wanted to know before as i went ahead and ordered some already. No matter. They claim good waterproofing. All the other BBB neoprene were out of stock in my size at the time, so i settled on these. The weather is slightly improving now, and should be good to use for the rest of the year. Although more snow is expected this week. I should be warm using them with the 'skin sockz'.0
