I was disputing that they weren't form there, I was just laughing that you normally see Milan, London, Paris, L.A etc. And they have 'Halifax'! Just tickled me.2011 Yeti ASR5 carbon: http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5817307/

Nice
What tyres are you currently running? Because my Conti MK's are rather small and not quite grippy enough for my liking and i am thinking of changing them! Any recommendations?
Cheers0 -
The 2009 Crush has Maxxis ADvantage 2.25 as standard and I thought they were very good. Im running DMR Motos at the moment because im mainly on flat, but as soon as the good weather comes back, the Maxxis' will be going back on. Just dont skid too often on the Maxxis' because they wear down fast, saying that, this would probably be the case with most knoblys.
The DMR's are great if you commute or just want to mess around with wheelies, street etc.
Cheers,

Ok cheers, i need to decide between some High Rollers or ADvantage's now! :?
Thanks for the opinion!0 -
Hey Podgeorge,
Been looking for a long travel Ht for a while now and I think I have settled on a crush. A couple of questions:
1. Where did you get the bike from. My local orange dealer is leisure lakes and their website says they will be available from mid March????
2. What size did you get?
3.How do you find the bike on 'normal' xc riding as well as more aggressive rinding?
4. any upgrades required from standard?
Cheers0 -

I got mine from Leisure Lakes in Cheltenham, and when i bought it, it was one of last 19" bikes around as all the other shops had run out of stock. Although you probably need to have a ring round to see which shops have got it in stock in your local area.
The bike is great for normal XC riding from what i've found as well more aggressive riding. I have done quite a bit of XC with the bike, and the bike in my opinion climbs pretty darn well, and it really does feel as if all the power is going straight to my back wheel, but the best bit is when you get to the top of the hill, because you can just scream straight back down. The slacker head angle and 140mm travel really helps this and makes it fantastic fun to ride downhill. Although really aggressive riding the back does clatter a bit on the rocks, but that is significantly reduced by letting a bit of air out of your rear tyre.
In terms of upgrades i am looking at changing the tyre's for some larger (2.35) High Rollers as the Conti's which come with the bike are pretty good but there just to small and not quite up to some of the more aggressive riding i'm doing. I am also looking to upgrade the wheels at some point in the future as the Mavic X117's which are on the bike are not that strong and not really designed for aggressive XC/ All Mountain riding, so i'll be looking to upgrade to some X719/7's on XT hubs.
Well i hope that answers your questions, i really will say that the bike is just sooo much fun to ride, and was absolutely worth my £1100!

thanks for the review podgeorge. I think it's defo the way forward for me.
Are those the stock pedals that come with the crush? If so are they any good?0 -
Nah there DMR V12's and i bought those extra, although they really are a fantastic pedal IMO, there light and incredibly grippy......i'll say no more0

So i'm thinking of doing some upgrading at the moment, to perhaps lose some weight where possible, and make the bike more of a 'Hardcore' HT. I was thinking the wheels would probably be the next root to go, although i'm not sure what to go for :? I'm wanting to do more hardcore stuff and not worry about my wheels all the time (the back and front are already not true ) The tyre's will probably stay on through the summer as i just love how fast they roll, and i have only got a couple of punctures, although i may consider some Kenda Small block thingys!
Any advice would be very welcome!
Thanks0 -

also to make it more hardcore you could change to a double ring and bash set up. and i heard the pedals aren't that good so you could upgrade them as well0 -

Yer it's absolutely brilliant, it really is a fantastic bike! I haven't made any upgrades just yet because of lack of funds, but will shortly changing the tyres, and then a pair of new hoops will be in order But apart from that i can't fault it!
