My Brompt is great in the snow.
Weight distribution is great (basically all on the rear)
Clearance is great 'cos no top tube to catch you out if you slip
Commute: Langster -Singlecross - Brompton S2-LX
Road: 95 Trek 5500 -Look 695 Aerolight eTap - Boardman TTe eTap
Offroad: Pace RC200 - Dawes Kickback 2 tandem - Tricross - Boardman CXR9.8 - Ridley x-fire

Was very pleased with my Dahon Mu in the snow this winter - though I did regret removing the mudguards last summer! I bought a cheap MTB from a colleague for riding in this weather but the Dahon did a far better job - and if it got too bad I could take it on public transport home (though I never had to)!
