Just wondering what kinda wattage you racing lot are whacking out on the turbos this time of year, im just averaging 215/220 watts for a hr and half, in a small ring spinning fast. So just inquisitive what the rest of you are doing? Winter racers need not apply!
Up hup hup hup.....fricking hate that!

320 watts average for an hour. And that's just with the right leg.
But NapD still manages 12 watts an hour more than me.0 -
Ha i said winter racers need not apply! So you should be nicley peaking for jan, awsome!Up hup hup hup.....fricking hate that!0

I don't race in the winter. I don't race in the spring. I don't race in the fall. I pretend to race in the summer.
And to be honest am doing the same wattage as you are. I save the big efforts for outdoors.0 -
I'm about 50 watts down on my first attempt at 2*20 since I last used a turbo last Spring. Target is to get back to 300 watts - or at least what my turbo reads as 300 watts which could be wildly inaccurate. Didn't race at all this year and have just had a couple of months pretty much completely off the bike so it came as a bit of a shock to the legs.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0 -
I'm doing around 210-220 for an hour at the moment. Guessing weight plays a part in this as I'm a bit of a short arse. I remember there was a chart once that showed the typical watt/kg for various times and levels of rider. Can't remember where it was though.0

If you mean accurate in terms of race category - then that's not the purpose of the table. One races to find out what their race category is.0 -
Accurate!
It's not accurate at all. I know I have the 5 second power of superman but according to that I'm the same as an untrained girl (ffs my wife's an untrained girl, although I am training her to cook, wash and do other household chores.)0 -
The very top left is accurate though...0

I also have the 5-second power of an untrained girl. Maybe we should start a club.0 -

It's not a very useful bit of information though as the absolute number depends on what your FTP is.
I'm doing continuous hours at about 85% of my peak FTP from last season. A bit less for longer turbo sessions (>80%).--
