I always take my own bike, but have been very impressed by what I've seen and heard re these people.

I used Pro Cycle Hire when I went to Majorca earlier this year, they were very good.

The bike I hired was a Massi (the Spanish one with 2 s's), not as nice as the Italian/US Masi, but nice enough, finishing kit was Dura Ace and Fulcrum Racing 1 wheels.

It turned up at my hotel pretty much on time; I was staying in Palma, so a bit out of the way for them, but still no problem. And they collected it from reception without any interaction from me, so all in all a good service.

Don't forget to take water bottles, your shoes and pedals, and a multi tool. They said they included a multi tool, but it wasn't in the kit when I got the bike.

They took my measurements over email prior to going out, and the bike was spot on when I got it, they even put on an Arione as that was my preferred saddle.

All in all, a very good service.

    +1 on Pro bike hire.

Pro bike hire, as above. Scouse guy there is great. Had a small Giant with a triple.
Cheap, well serviced, clean. Got free water bottle at the weeks end too. Result!

Nice ride toward the east coast, but they are dead ends, but fantastic climb with hairpins.
Going west, towards the Monestary, be prepared for 20min plus climbs!
Again, the hairpins can catch you out. Be careful...

The one thing that worries me about hiring a bike is if I either have a crash or worse it gets stolen, I will be left with a huge bill to pay. Do you guys take out any special insurance and if so a few pointers would be appreciated.
