can anyone please tell me how to work this out mathmatically as my HRM only gives the max, but I want to see how my average is over a few months of training. Thanks

You could only work out your average if you note your HR every x seconds and then take the average of those figures - not easy while you are riding. Sounds like Santa needs to get his elves to sort you a new HRM.0
