2 weeks off

I have had a problem with my calf over the last month, in that it cramps up when i up the tempo after around 4 minutes. I am guessing it is a knot in the muscle, so i am resting up completely (usually ride every day bar one).
My question is should i just take 2 weeks off and keep up with stretching and massaging it (with a tennis ball), or should i do some very light spinning on my turbo i.e. very low resistance and just go at a casual pace??

If it was me, I have found that complete rest works better, a bit mentally harder to deal with but worth it in the end. Keep up with the massage and stretching every day if you can (and lots of it), that will do more to loosen the muscle off than an easy spin.0

Personally I would get a professional sports massage, leave it a few days to repair then get back on it.0

booking a trip to the physio / sports massager and will then see how it goes.0

Get a diagnosis - cramp might be helped by gentle use /massage but if its a tear you could make things worse. Sports physio is best bet!0
