Can anyone suggest/recommend a good book, CD, DVD to help me work on the mental side of training for road racing?

many thanks

  • I have a book called The Mental Athlete that I got off Amazon... OIT's quite readable, but you do need to set time aside for it.

And you feel like a right goon taping the visualisation stuff.

  • I think I have some audio that is generic but I found very good for coaching some athletes. It is a little bit convoluted because it is an interview with Peter Siegel but his opinion on this subject is fascinating and very helpful.
If you pm me an email address I'll forward it through, but it is quite a big file.
  • Pm sent mackdaddy, thanks!

  • Sorry about the delay, guys, I haven't forgot you. I'm transferring my machine over to Linux at the moment and this has taken priority.
I've tried sending this from my work account so let me know if you receive it. If not, once the machine is working I'll upload it as a torrent so you can d/l it.

  • Damn, just got a mail delivery failure because of the size. Looks like the torrent route as I haven't worked out how to do the web updates from Linux yet.
If it's urgent drop me a mail and I'll see if I can sneak a bit of time to do it.
