Legs getting tight on the turbo

My legs and knees feel tight on the turbo even after a solid 20 minute warmupu.

why does this happen indoors but not outside? not changed my bike position........?

    Overheating.

Get a fan pointing on your legs and/or soak some tights/legwarmers in water and wear them to get some wind chill.

Also, if anyone's got a fan not fit for purpose, I discovered today that wearing a wet t-shirt makes you feel like you're in a wind tunnel.

The OP's legs are overheating. I used to have the same problem before I got a fan. You need to get as cool as possible if you're on a trainer and wet clothing helps massively.

Just put your turbo under the shower and place a refridgerator with the door open in front of it. This should recreate the outdoor weather of Britain. I'm full of good training tips me !!!!!

Save the planet! and your electricity bill and refridgerator light bulb

Put your turbo outside in the permenantly falling rain of Manchester, youll save on lighting and the electricity to run the fan, your clothes will get wet and cool from sweat and rain anyway and the sub zero temperatures will ensure you dont notice any tightness in the legs.
The subsequent pneumonia and 2 months off the bike will save on wear and hours in the freezing rain before spring.
  • well, yeah

the fan was mainly on my right leg which is now fine but my left leg still got a bit tight.

the knee joint is sore. :( I need to get a second fan before i continue training because its probably unsafe. ill need a third too for my head.

wet tshirt was overkill but im sure it would help those without a fan at all.
