Of course Scottish commentators would never refer to games/tourneys Scotland did well in, personally I'm fed up with the guff about Scotland beating England after the 66 WC.

Tell you what. If no mention is made of the '66 World Cup I wont ever mention Scotland demolishing the World Cup holders at home at their first opportunity. :D

The ironic thing is you raised it first, not me. I sometimes think that scots need something to be bitter and twisted about.

I raised it in jest. Sorry if having a bit of banter offends you, I thought that's what local rivalries was all about.

Or are you just pissed off that a Scot is running your country instead of the other way about for a change
  • Or are you just pissed off that a Scot is ruining your country

reddraggon, you're right we are. I'd start to give my theory on why but you'd all be bored to tears and end up getting carted out in a straight jacket

I know, I'm just bitter as the last time Wales made the finals was the best part of 20 years before I was born

Pick someone to support, don't give in to bitterness, be positive. There's a large Welsh community in Argentina, follow them.

Them and Germany are the only two teams I don't mind England beating  I'm just going to go into hiding, I don't mind the team or the country it's just the way the media go on about it incessantly, building the team up as likely winners before turning on them when the inevitable happens. It's already started, you'd have thought England have been given a bye to the knockout stages the way some tabloids are going on. Add to that the fact that it is the cricket season by then, football should be done and dusted, but summer sports may as well not exist in some people's minds. Not that I don't like the World Cup

    I can't wait!

Unfortunately, my work will block the BBC and ITV websites for the duration though. They missed a trick for the Confederations Cup though 8)
