In the three rehearsals so far today we've drawn Australia each time.
After working with a load of Aussies in London, any opportunity to wipe the chip shops off their shoulders is great by meExpertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

World cup "draws" are a farce, by the time theve seeded the teams then come up with the various excuses why this nation has to be in a different pot to that nation and another country must be kept apart from someone else; they'd may aswell do away with any pretence of a free draw and let septic Blatter and co just place the teams where they want them.Tail end Charlie

They are also a fix as they put a couple of the balls in a freezer beforehand to prevent some teams being drawn together...........................or so a bloke down the pub told me anyway0 -
Slightly off-topic, I'd love to see a group with Argentina, Australia, Ivory Coast and Serbia. That would be an absolute blinder of a contest, and fiery too.0

We got Peterborough at home, oh the world Cup .0

Don't care who are in the group as long as they beat England0

I know, I'm just bitter as the last time Wales made the finals was the best part of 20 years before I was born0

Pick someone to support, don't give in to bitterness, be positive. There's a large Welsh community in Argentina, follow them.Old hippies don't die, they just lie low until the laughter stops and their time comes round again.

Groups D & H look good, the others I can't see being particularly interesting.
Apart from Italy, England have been handed the kindest draw of any of the seeded nations.0 -
Did anyone else notice that you heard the name of the team drawn as he opened the ball and before he said what team was inside it?
ITS A FIXBianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!

ITS A FIX
I couldn't be bothered to watch how the draw was going to be organised - but, me too, I noticed people shouting out the country before the number was visible. But apart from the 2 easiest groups for teams with Italian managers, the draw didn't seem to do anybody else any favours.0 -
I just sat there drooling over Charlize and wasn't really concentrating on the football
So could somebody type out all the groups and fixtures for me pleaseExpertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

According to the tabloids we've won it already.
When will they ever learn to be wary of overconfidence? It's bound to rub off on the players, fortunately Fab is the one guy to keep their feet on the ground.
The USA game could prove tricky.0 -

Oh the banter I think the reason Scottish and Welsh folk get p1ssed off with the hype of the English teams.
I think England will do quite well. They have a lot of good players and now a good manager but as usual the English media will start a frenzy and put the players under far too much pressure. Also, the lack of a decent goalkeeper might cause a problem too.
Spain or Brazil to win it for me. I think it will take one of these nations to knock England out.
P.S. What are the odds for a commentator mentioning 1966 within the first minute of Englands first group game? Decent money to be made as surely it's a stick on!0 -
Hmmmm
I think a lot of the English media are confusing a draw which could have been worse with one that is easy.
Being seeded has helped a lot.
Key match will be against the USA, fail to win that and the complexion of the group changes enormously.
Don't forget Slovenia have already eliminated the Czech Republic, Northern Ireland, Poland and most notably Russia in the playoffs.
Algeria knocked out the reigning African champions
I still fancy England to emerge from the group however“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

The teams you mention are all in the group who won't win the world cup.
England join that group on the 2nd of July 2010“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

Of course Scottish commentators would never refer to games/tourneys Scotland did well in, personally I'm fed up with the guff about Scotland beating England after the 66 WC.Old hippies don't die, they just lie low until the laughter stops and their time comes round again.
