I am in the process of renovating a very rare 1953 Stuart Purves Style 1 road bike.

I am disappointed that no-ones really replied...... this is going to be a bike taht Anquetil, Coppi and Bartali would all have wanted! Well, maybe..... but it's going to great nonetheless!

Many thanks for the interest and link..... your Colnago is breathtaking! Just gorgeous. I also like the silver Claud Butler and the emerald green Mercian.
I am going for a sky blue colour with gold lug lining to match the mudguard colour scheme. The idea being that the bike will look like a fully organic machine, rather than something with a set of Bluemels just whacked on.
I have just managed to get myself a Gran Sport rear mech in near A1 condition so keep watching the blog for updates.... thanks!Second is losing!!0 -
