I am in the process of renovating a very rare 1953 Stuart Purves Style 1 road bike.

  • I am disappointed that no-ones really replied...... this is going to be a bike taht Anquetil, Coppi and Bartali would all have wanted! Well, maybe..... but it's going to great nonetheless!

    What colour scheme are you going to have? I may have missed it on your blog.

    Many thanks for the interest and link..... your Colnago is breathtaking! Just gorgeous. I also like the silver Claud Butler and the emerald green Mercian.

    I am going for a sky blue colour with gold lug lining to match the mudguard colour scheme. The idea being that the bike will look like a fully organic machine, rather than something with a set of Bluemels just whacked on.

    I have just managed to get myself a Gran Sport rear mech in near A1 condition so keep watching the blog for updates.... thanks!
