Eek, it's escaped already, that vids not supposed to be on public release yet........

Caz, if you're up there on Sunday, drop in and say hello, we're working just off the fireroad in the middle, you'll see the parked cars. Just follow the trail of mud into the forest  .

The big berms are up at the top corner of the forest. When you hit the fire-road after dropping down the sandy/bermy switchbacks from Whelp Stone Crag, turn right, and keep your eyes open for the entry which is on your left a little way along - there's a rocky step-down as a qualifier.

As for maps, the best one around at the mo is stumpyjon's GPS log -

Hope this helps, have fun!!! Oh, and if you do go on Saturday, keep an eye out for the Bowland Pennine MRT who are doing an exercise in the forest.

Nice vid - and who is the music by too? Anyone know?

As another aside when you post a vid with music attached what is the copyright situation? We all do it but could we end up having to pay royalties?

Official dig-days are the second Sunday of every month, but we're also trying to arrange as many ad-hoc days as we can between us. The next ad-hoc dig is actually tomorrow (Sunday 22nd), 10:00-16:00ish depending on how dark it gets, and how soon!!!

After that, the next official dig-day will be on Sunday 13th December, 10:00-15:00. Details of where we're currently meeting can be found here...

    http://www.forestofbowland.com/files/uploads/images/volunteers%20meet%20oct09.jpg

To get on the official mailing list, then just send an email to...

    martin.charlesworth@lancashire.gov.uk

And if you'd like to be kept posted about the ad-hoc days, then stumpyjon just up the page is the chap doing his best to keep us in order! :)

r3 guy, like Tony said just pm me your email address and I'll get back to you with details of the when, where, how etc. and get you onto our mailing lists. Any help will be greatfully received, we've managed to put in a good few metres of trail recently but there's plnety more to go in.

According to the closing credits, it's Dance, Dance, Dance by Lykke Li from the album Youth Novels.

Can't say I know owt about her, but she was on Later some time last year.

As for the copyright thing, I presume tracks used on vids are supposed to be licenced in some way. I've certainly seen vids posted on YouTube where the audio track has apparently been removed because it wasn't authorised or summat.

From what Nigel was saying I think the guy who took the video is mates with the person who wrote the music. I think it's a pretty good vid to be honest.

Fantastic video, and the tune by Lykke li is awesome (bought the album as result)

Gisburn is my closest trail centre , i live 45 mins away in Lancaster, and have been there twice, its quickly becoming my favourite. Especially now with everything north flooded, its a great alternative.

Did the black roller coaster section for the first time on Saturday.

The vid is very good, but doesn’t give a sense of perspective where those two blokes come down that stone /rock section at 00:39, i tried twice on Saturday and both times bailed (admittedly i am a noobie and was on a hard tail, oh and the rocks were VERY wet and slippery)

    thats my excuse anyway.

Any idea where we can get to see the pics of the new trail that is being built, the one where there is the long logs, with bits of wood, chipped out of it.

    r3 guy,

Big berm section aka rollercoaster pretty awesome in the wet. Had my first go on it on sat and it was VERY wet, muddy and rutted.

    Still great fun though
