High HR on rollers?

Just starting using a set of Tacx rollers, HR seems to be high compared to normal work-out on a mag turbo. Is this down to the fact its all new on the rollers and my heart is racing due to the danger of coming a cropper at every second ? What sort of speed and cadence do people use on their rollers?

It's probably fear of falling off!0

You're probably at a higher cadence on the rollers, increasing your HR."A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

Trying to keep cadence similar to what I`ve been training at on the turbo, 90 rpm. Was a bit lower on the rollers (80 - 85), tried going down through the gears to ease up on the legs, so the HR did drop a bit, but still a lot higher than turbo training.
Must be the fear factorJens says "Shut up legs !! "

Higher cadence means higher hr.
When I ride track I am normally at least 10 higher than road riding, same for rollers.
I also hit higher max on track compared to road.0 -
Had another 45 minute sesh. on the rollers, HR is now down a bit as I`m getting used to not fighting it all the way Trying to keep around 90 rpm cadence, so I can compare HR etc with my turbo training. Rollers a lot smoother with lower cadence and higher gears, gotta get the hang of smooth pedalling to stop the "bounce" at higher cadence. Might adjust the seat height down a fraction, see if that helps? Seems OK on the road, but you don`t notice the "bounce" when pedalling hard on the road.Jens says "Shut up legs !! "

And they say you don't get a proper workout on rollers
Just done a 2 mile warm up then 5 min at LTHR (170-175) for 5 min then 65-75% HRM(130-150)for 2 mins reapeat 4 times and I'm knackered.0
