My uncle had a couple of bottles of Glenlivet floating around a couple of weeks back, really wish I could remember which they were, one was rather expensive, 3 figures sort of price that he'd been given, wasn't allowed much of that. The other was cheaper and IMO much nicer. I think it's testimony to how nice it was that I can't remember exactly what I was drinking. I found a rather drunkenly typed note on the iphone the next day but it didn't make much sense, unfortunatley this was after I'd left0 -
I got a bottle of Aberlour 16 for £23 in Booths around Christmas. Bargainous! Now, if only I could find Lagavulin 16 for half price too...0

I'm on the old JD and coke tonight. I'm not a bourbon fan really, but I'll drink it when someone's bought it me as a present. I've got some Famous Grouse too; 2 bottles from Christmas
Glenlivet and Glenmorangie are my favourite 'every day' whisky's. A bit of Talisker or Macallan is a nice treat (I think it's Macallan anyway)It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.
Join us on UK-MTB we won't bite, but bring cake!

My daughter bought me some Hibiki 17 as a present from Japan.
It's not a single malt but it is the nicest stuff I've ever tasted. The good news is I have sourced it locally. The not so very good news is it's £78.00 a bottle.Tail end Charlie
