    I've seen it mentioned on several programmes and documentaries relating to libel laws, and motor industry safety standards, so as far as I know, it's not a myth.

    Last pair of manitous I had used to pop the caps off the fork legs, and spray oil in my face as soon as I said the words "drop-off". They would also constantly dribble oil onto my brake disc at all other times.

    Nah, it's a new trials technique, if you need to balance on the rear, but you find the front end dropping to low, release some ballast!
