you... you what!
thor crashing out of P-R as Boonen powered away
Verbier0 -
"Tom Boonen is an absolute monster on the cobbles", I think these were the words Harmon used to describe Boonen's performance in Paris-Roubaix. For me it was the most exciting race I have ever seen, especially the last 10-15 kms, after Flecha's crash.0

Riding up the Colombiere in a thunderstorm, then waiting at the top for Alberto n' friends wearing a bin bag, then racing some guy on a moped back down again...
And Cadel's World Champsionship win was pretty good too...0 -
Moray Gub wrote:Best race moment for me probably the attack by Andy Schleck on roche aux falcons to win LBL he caught up with Gilbert had a quick look and then left Gilbert for dead almost immediately and blasted on to the finish........brilliant bit of riding.
Honourable mention Cancellara walking down the Koppenburg with his bike over his shoulder and his chain in his hand..........something thats probably happened to most in here.
Koppenburg? Nah, Moray, aced that___________________

I cant believe that so few have people have voted for Gilbert.
excellent one day rider who is never afraid to take chances..
that being said, if Harmon at the worls was up there, that would have go my vote.
nothing like a bit of honest outrage. fair play to you harmon.0 -

Great US commentary!!Where\'s me jumper?0 -
Yep, I've never been a big fan of Evans because of his apathy towards attacking and the way he conducts himself but I'm happy to be proved wrong. Delighted he won the worlds, I'll give him significantly more respect in future.0

Just remembered this. One of the most impressive cycling moments of this year:
Contador bridging a big gap between the third and second echelon on his own in that Paris-Nice stage where Rabobank ripped the peloton to shreds - normally that is not humanly possible. Also a symbolical moment and in more than one way a sign of what was to come...0 -

paris nice was a cracking race... seeing bertie getting worked over old skool style was a worthy moment or two....."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -
Can't decide between these two:
0 -
1.Contador
2.Evans world title
3.and, am sorry, but couldn't have imagined Hinault coming ouf of retirment 4 years after 86 to battle Indurain or Indurain retired in 1996 come back 4 years later on in 2000 to battle Armstrong and Pantani, Beloki, ullrich...so Lance A must get a mention...3rd was very impressive at the age and after that time off. I accept and agree he's explpoited the issue of cancer shamelessly and the use of sick children in Nike ads is disgusting use of a serious illness to launch what is his fuuture political career..but judge the athlete alone, not the stuff he's selling0
