    I hate tea and coffee.

I had a friend at university who used to have 5 or 6 sugars. I asked him once if he was concerned about the health effects. He said no, his body would just get used to it. :?

I usually take 2 in both tea and coffee, though I can do without in tea if there's none available just so long as there is milk, though I can't drink coffee without sugar but I can have the coffee without milk.

Depends, 2 teaspoons but the little white packs from work are really small s 4 of those
  • Gave up sugar in tea and coffee many years ago. Now if tea/coffee has sugar in that's all I can taste
2 Wheels or not 2 wheels..That is not in question.
  • Espresso only and usually doppio, sugar is for girlies
  • Tea - none
Coffee - none, and black... I'm 'ard, me :-)

  • Three if it's a normal cup. Although, I usually use a nice big soup / hot chocolate / bowl cup thing - that one needs six sugars. 8)

    Mmm ... sugar.
  • That's very kind of you, Piersy Boy, I'll have a white tea, no sugar, please. Oh, and if you could rummage around for some biscuits while you're at it....

Ditched sugar in tea and coffee years ago along with sugar on my cornflakes though there is sugar in the cupboards for those that need it.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • I don't have sugar I have sweetners

I do have sweetener ion my cereal if the milk is warm. Cold milk has some tast whereas warm doesn't.

:? That is completely opposite to me redvee. I find warm milk makes my mouth 'gacky' and is very tasty but cold has more water like qualities..............

P.s sweetners on cereal :?

either none or half a spoon in tea, dependant on mood. 1 in coffee, unless it's black then I have 2. But I have 2 spoonsfuls of coffee in my coffee.

Don't have sugar on cornflakes, but a little bit on rice crispies or shreddies.

Used to have a friend who put sugar on frosties...... WTF???

A very specific but un-quantifiable amount.

How many sugars before a tea becomes a 'builders tea'?

Wrong! A builders tea is made from a bag of suger to which hot water, milk and a teabag is added. The amount of water is the variable here.

  • When I was 16 my mum said to me, "Now then son, it's about time you stopped having sugar in your tea."
I was a good boy and always did as I was told. I've never taken a spoonful since. Thanks mum.
I should get out more (on the bike)

Tea - No milk + 2 teaspoons of honey

Coffee - Quadrouple espresso (40p - it's good to have a mate working in Starbucks ;)), no sugar or milk.

I'm pretty sure at least one of my cousins used to have sugar on their Sugar Puffs
Then again, my auntie wasn't known for her aptitude in the kitchen department back then, so there was a fair bit of reliance on that sort of junk (instant mash, aeroplane-shaped frozen turkey in breadcrumbs, etc.).
