    That's a Fanta fest alright!
Here's a pic of the old boy necking some other can of pop!
I thought it was Fanta until I saw the pic again and sadly not; it was taken by my buddy this year at Le Grand Bornand, I'm just to his right out of shot applauding the chap.

  • I take it hes drinking something with lots of sugar in to help recover quickly after the event?

Then he will move onto the slower carbohydrates.

No, he's like a 9 year old who gets a can of pop for being good.

If he were to win the whole Tour of Missouri he'd get a family bucket of Haribo, but that'll never happen. I believe Cav has never yet won such a prize. He got a packet of Tangfastics though for becoming Britain's most winningest ever Pro.

    Tangfastics!
  • The weird thing is, it looks like a can of coke zero - zero sugar, same great taste. Not gonna do him any good.

On the subject of recovery drinks, has anyone tried Nesquik milkshake?

Sounds ridiculous but protein and carbs from milk, sugar from Nesquik and fortified with vitamins...

As I said in my first post, it's Fanta, which has copious amounts of sugar in.

I like a nice Mars drink myself...
  • there was an interview during the tour where cav said he usually had a sandwich and a can of coke post race, I think to think I also heard him say ....."and a curly wurly"

I started using this a few weeks ago after someone on another thread mentioned it.
I have a pint of strawberry Nesquik and a banana and have found it works better than the "sport" stuff i was using and at a fraction of the price. :D

Still probably more expensive than bulk buying whey protein from somewhere like Myprotein, mixing it with milk and eating a banana....
Do not write below this line. Office use only.
  • i have been using high 5 recovery drink all season but think i may try some straight up whey protein and add some nesquik just to make it taste better, a mate does it and rates it pretty well
