Well they did too much work at the wrong time. They tried to drive the group after the split but the second group, including Farrar, came back.
Bennati needed some help in the closing miles, not 50km from the finish. Cancellara jumped with 1km to go and disorganised things, then Duque took a long flyer, so it was all a bit chaotic. Garmin can charge the celebration champagne to Liquigas.0 -
