    Hi folks

Just wanted to double check the start time tomorrow and also being a newbie I just wanted to confirm that the Hampton gate NWLondoner mentioned is the entrance/gate at the end of Priory Lane (the same road the priory and LTA club is on).

    Looking forward to it!

No. We start at richmond gate. Berns had already corrected me. This is at the top of sawyers hill. I am usually arrive too early so look out for a tall skinny guy in red lycra on a black planet x.

Lovely - Thanks mate. I'll be riding a Cinelli and carrying a copy of The Times under my arm.

Is it a 9am kick off?

If you enter the park via priory lane just keep going straigt up the hill until you reach the top and see the big white building on your left.

8.45 was the agreed time. Which works better for me. Unless Berns has agreed to put it back to 9.

We have moved the start time to 9am as some of us will struggle to get there for 8.45. Get there for 9 to watch Strang sprint up Sawyers Hill at 9.03.
  •
  • I'll probably be there as well and looking forward to seeing Berns on the hills vomit-1.gif

Have a good ride chaps. The weather is lovely this morning. I really wanted to do a few laps of the park this morning as I commuted through to work at 0730h but gotta work :( Then again, maybe there will be time for a few laps sometime this weekend, or maybe I can watch some of the duathlon on sunday.

Look forward to stats later ;)

Hello folks - Just wanted to say a very quick thank you for making me feel so welcome today. It was a great ride and a lovely route out to Box Hill. Although I think I must have forgotten the route about 5 miles in!

Will definitely try and head out again sometime in the next few weeks.

    Thanks again

  • Good ride gents. 9 out today and nice to see a new face. Perfect conditions - this time of the year is great, but it won't last long.
Mark - I'll PM you with the Streatham-Box Hill route.

Incredible ride on the Southern Sportive today - did the whole 155k at hoonfest pace. Genuinely.

I'm now going to curl up in a ball and sleep until Tuesday...

Great effort Rich on the hoonfest pace. I think that as the originator and copyright holder Myk-ee should review your Garmin file and decide if your effort truly meets hoonfest crietria :D

p.s. Whats happening Monday evening? (apart from Rich sleeping until then!)

p.p.s. bummed that park was out of action today - instead I just went for a London streets amble culminating in a trackstanding extravaganza for the vising Everton fans on Fulham palace road.

Ah, I see hence Rich saying he would get lapped cos he is walking (and maybe cycling too) like John Wayne. Might be able to make it, but will prob be most of the way home by then. If I am out late then I might tag on for a half a lap Roehampton to Kingston...

    Thanks buddy!

Still buzzing from yesterday's efforts, but my legs are shot today and the ride in was most uncomfortable!

  • A shame I couldn't make it.

Thanks thebongolian. Really enjoyed the ride; glad I didn't slow everyone down too much.
