Knee pain

I been having a recurring pain this year, almost as if something inside the knee is trying to burst out, keep re-positioning cleats with no joy.
I have been thinking of trying the Spesh BG fitting shoes but am I throwing money away or have people actually been cured using this method ??
What frustrates me is that I have been having the trouble on and off road so it's not as if the leg is moving in the same plane all the time, only the pressure through the foot goes at the same point.

  • Have you tried adjusting your saddle height?

I used to get knee pain & clicking knees etc. Lowered my saddle by 5mm one day, and never had any pain since!

Where's the pain located? - behind your patella ? - or somewhere else ?

defo feels from behind the patella, feels like it's going to burst. Although I'm weary of it when walking around it seems to "calm" down really quickly.
saddle heights between my off-road and road bike are quite different so don't feel I can put this down as the problem, unless one is wrong and I just aggravate riding the other.
Overuse maybe without any recouperation, but after 7000 miles last year this year mileage is minimal.

Go and see a phsyio, I have had recent knee pain, and it would come and go without warning. I have seen a phsyio and I am doing exercises to sort out the issue.
