Yeah, loving the bars...they do a really good job of taking the edge off the buzz on rough tracks too.
Grips will have to go though, I love the look, but on the carbon they just keep slipping round. Reckon I'll get the Ritchy ergo neoprene bolt-ons...or maybe stick with white and get the charge sponges.0 -
I've got a pair of Massi lock-ons that seem to do the job..0

Nice work my fellow Boardman Pimper

One question...Whats next ?
Hmmm...good question! Well...I was considering a new wheelset, but I weighed the existing ones and found them to be in the region of 1700g, and there was no real improvement on that without spending ALOT of money...and I couldn't justify geting a set of the same weight just to improve the looks. But I decided recently that I think the Shimano XT wheelset would look frickin awsome, so who knows!
I guess a carbon seatpost is the only logical next on the list...and I'm liking the finish on the Superlogic bars, so will probably go for a matching seatpost. I'd also like a to stick a QR seat clamp on there, and I've narrowed it down to these, as I'm not a fan of Hope -

Other than that I think I'm pretty much done for the time being. I'll either save up for a carbon frame, or a second full-sus complete bike.0 -
where did you get the stand from?LOL road riding.0

Yeah I saw your thread on the wheel question. I was reading with interest.
Also, carbon seat post + quick release ? May not be the best idea just from a security point of view. Would only take someone 5 seconds to pop out it whilst your eyes are turned (.....just a thought).
As you've probably seen, I've got the annodised blue Hope skewers on mine, thinking of getting the seat post clamp to match mwuahahaha
Keep up the good work2010 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon

That's a very good point...I don't use mine to commute though, so it's usually either under my bum, or locked away safe and sound!
Hadn't considered overtighening with the QR and damaging the carbon though? Is that a possibility? I'd just like to be able to quicky drop the seat out of the way when I'm tackling technical downhill sections...0 -
Boardman have obviously been looking at this website and have decided white saddle and forks look good.
I've just put a deposit down on this

Fair point about the commuting, I've stopped using mine for that as well now. Still may be worth thinking about though. When you've got an allen key fixing I think it'll deter 99% of opportunists where as a quick release I think may make them think about giving it a quick go. Anyways, thats your call.
In terms of overtightening, also a good point. I would imagine there is more chance of overtightening with the quick release as the majority of the force is applied when you push the lever towards the frame. That will be more difficult to judge than when using an alley key/torque wrench/key etc...
This is just my view, I'm probably totally wrong but I do know how paranoid I was when I first fitted the carbon seat post. Had I done it up too tight, not tight enough, was it going to slide down and scratch all the carbon on the first impact etc etc2010 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon

You have inspired me to pimp the newest addition to my growing Boardman family..!! Especially loving the bars but they're a little bit more expensive than I could reasonably sneak past the missus......
I noticed you have the Marathon WCS saddle; after looking at the Biomax and Streem I decided this is probably also the one for me - how do you get on with it?
Also on my shopping list are;
Ritchey WCS Wet Look White Riser: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Ritchey_WCS_Riser_Wet_White_Mountain_Bike_Handlebars/5360038448/
White DMR V12 pedals: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/DMR_V12_Flat_Pedals/5360030591/
White Peaty Lock-ons: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Lizard_Skins_Lock_On_Peaty_Handlebar_Grips/5360033334/
And the Avid Matchmakers which I will spray white before putting on: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Avid_Matchmaker_Mounting_Bracket/5360027830/
....am I going too far? :?
I was also looking at the Ritchey wet look stems but can't find them in a style (and shorter length) that I like so may have to look elsewhere....shame as I wanted to keep all the bolt on bits Ritchey....Boardman HT Pro with a few mods
