Morning Misery

I'm pretty sure I have seen other posts on this (sorry if they've been recent) but I just wondered if anyone else suffers more in the AM then the PM when riding as I do?
A chap I ride with from time to time thinks it’s a load of rubbish and it's down to me just thinking I’m less effective in the early AM.
But to me it seems that I need at least 3 hours of up time to be able to push myself properly; so is it me talking rubbish or is this more likely down to what I eat or how well I sleep? :?

I also find that I need a bit of time to warm up in the morning. It's only natural that you're not going to wake up firing on all cylinders, your muscles have basically been in a state of complete relaxation for 8 hours or whatever and are not suddenly going to fire up immediately. I don't think it's necessarily anything to do with what you eat or how you sleep, it's just a natural process of warming up in the morning, as well as club runs at the weekend, I commute to work and back and the first bit of my morning commute is always a bit slower than average.Do not write below this line.
