Hesitant posts. Do they hold up the fence that people sit on?

    Brilliant !
  • I'm not hesitant to post, I just wish I could think of more things to post about.

I think the site is well moderated, and as long as things don't stray into the realms of warranting legal action, alls fair in love and war.

What makes for interesting reading is the aftermath of posting whilst p155ed.

Moderators don't get paid so I agree that they should read what they want to read.
I would do exactly the same.
You see how many new posts come up on here everyday, it would take ages to view them all and then to come back later to view new posts

Is anyone else out there hesitant about new posts. I enjoy taking the mick and vice-versa, but it seems lot's of us post on here, open up a view and it soon spirals into a slanging match, myself included. Obviously there are a lot of different viewpoints out there, diversity being a good thing but I think it is getting really nippy on here.

Ok so, also this being ironic, this post will also get the P155 ripped out of it, don't mind really, just want your thoughts about peoples responses. Dunno what I'm trying to say really, might go and have a nap.

I would say there are times when you hit a nerve with certain folk and /or that could just be down to something being misconstrued which can be quite easy ,be it an e-mail or text and combine that with the fact that a lot of folk communticate using these methods it's not to see why this occurs as often as it does. Have had the very same thing myself

I've learnt that certain of my opinions just seemt to wind almost everyone up - such as my recent support for the tube strike - so I've learnt to keep them to myself, plus now if I feel that I'm getting wound up by someone I will stay away from that thread for a while. Seems to work. 8)

Lol, I'm glad you went with "often" rather "sometimes" or "ocassionally", otherwise I'd have had to correct you

Personally I think that most of the threads that get the most passionate and sometimes heated posts are the best bits. Plus there's such a spread of extremely well-read, intelligent, humourous people on here that it can be a great read.

Some people get slammed for what they say, but that's the nature of the beast if they choose to say something that's a strong opinion that might not be held by others. When these reactions happen its normally quite a few people who pick up on it and join in the common responses too, always seems proportional to what's been said most of the time.

I think people on here are great on the whole and even some of the take-themselves-too-seriously types are entertaining. Without them it would be a bit boring, but if it was pre-dominantly made up of these serious kinds of people and became the sterile, humourless place that would make it, I wouldn't be reading let alone posting that's for sure.

Roll on the next passionate thread.... right, reckon I'll start one called '10 reasons xxxxx is a complete doper and a dipshit'. Right, now who should xxxxx be??? Hmmm....
