Up for the challenge, but the down afterwards is sweet for the rush of adrenaline only obtainable by gunning it.
I have nothing more to say on the matter.

in a tt just slightly up 2or 3 percent gradient. Up is a bigger sense of achievement. Also only weighing 55kg means i make time on other people

Pan flat, actually.

Up. Even though I'm a chunky monkey (85kg), riding uphill is my favourite part of cycling.

Both - up for sense of achievement and down for the sheer blood tingling thrill of it!

Down on my old bike: heavier, and 52/11 so could keep pedalling >50mph on a decent slope.
Up on my new one: even quite unfit at the moment, I can feel how much easier it is: but light weight & compact gears have knocked 10mph off on descents.

Up all the way here, I like the descents OK it the roads a gooden, but you can't beat a good leg burning climb for the challenge of it

I prefer it all, up, down, flat. I like up when being challenged by other group riders.
