okay what sort of route would we like, now under the thread it's windsor so this sort of thing I sugested http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/SCR-slow-and-flat
But the surrey lanes are lovely it's where i normally go, if people liked that? i'd be more than happy to plot a route though there, doesn't have to be set in stone as i just about know that area well enought to normally route on the fly now.
okay so flat but some big fast road (windsor) or into the lanes off surrey.
I'm more than happy to plot routes and lead though the lanes, pace is likely to be easy as i'm far from fast!
this said we could take in some of the bigger steeper hills (very slowly!), box hill is a bike porn heaven on sundays etc.
what sort of route would people like?

Windsor, I quite like variety and I'm guessing there will be another (possibly) several rides into Surrey in the future....Food Chain number = 4

I'll be cycling round Normandy with LiT that weekend, so I won't be there. Pity as I would like to have come...
If there is a tie for the route, I do fancy doing Windsor on the next ride.0 -
Either! But I think I would prefer Windsor as planning to do the Dulwich ride on the Saturday again and I'm not sure how my legs will go with 2 days of hills  I do still fancy giving Box Hill a go though.0

I just wanted to check, but yes windsor would be good for me, as i'm likely to have had a long day Sat sorting out computer problems with the inlaws.
For drinkies/food I was going to sugest the Bell in hampton, as it has plenty of space for parking bikes and has a nice view over the river, (which is where the ferry runs across) and if i'm honest it's very close to where I live so wife can roll down after.0 -
Windsor for me as well. I've upped the GI on the single speed, so flatter is bettererer.Bike/Train commuter: Brompton S2L - "Machete"

Is this a social or a slowcial? I might be free but I don't wanna get dropped.0

no dropping, allowed, it's a have a chat ride more than any thing, to be honest i'll have probably got home late after fixing stuff and seeing familly and possibly a trim to the hair so i'll not be up for burn even if I was that fit!0 -
Alright, I'll be in as long as I can shift this saddle sore before the weekend. This will be the longest ride I'll have ever done if I finish it.0

I'm out. My knee is still giving me gip, and I've got a midnight show at Regents Park open air theatre to go to.

I'm 100% available now if this is still on. And so is my new girl who arrived just a couple of hours ago0
-
re this still happening? well i'll be there at 9;30 probably with coffee...
and will take any willing folks to windsor and back, if i'm on my tod i'll probably go hunting winterfold/whitedown.
but given the choice i'd like a more social ride.0 -
It's likely that I'll have to give this a miss as I have family commitments.
However, I may be around for a bike ride or at Richmond park on Saturday and am absolutely riding on the bike all next week (except the weekend) iif anyone wants to join me.Food Chain number = 4

By looks it will be a smaller group than last time but if people are keen i'm more than happy to lead around0 -
Would have been there with bells on, but cricket match in Wiltshire calls. Have fun, and next timeFCN 5ish. Unless hungover.0
-
I am definitely still up for this (despite my pasting on the Dulwich steady ride today!) but my friend can't make it. Totally understand though if you don't want to head out with a much smaller group?
DDD if you are going for a ride Monday/Tues (I have Tuesday off 8) I'd love to come with and will even endeavour to utilise the big ring.0 -
Looks like it's the four of us then, unless we have any last minute takers?0

I'm definitely still coming so will see you guys at 9:30, same place as last time. I don't have the route in my Garmin this time though so will be relying on you, Roger0
-
This is the course from the original slowcial thread, i've got it on my Garmin just in case.
