HELP - I have just started riding my new racing bike but it is very lonely. Are there are Colchester ladies out there willing to train an evening in the week?

Have you thought about joining a club, Lisa?....
Probably the best place to start.

Hi Lisa,
Although i'm not a lady i'd suggest that you try one of the local clubs - who may well be able to put you in tough with like minded riders (although perhaps not necessarily ladies...).
Colchester Rovers have a few ladies who ride that I know of and I believe the club ride goes out on a Sunday morning at 9am from Boudicea Way. There are also regular club run rides from Interbike at Marks Tye, 9:30 (all men!) on a Saturday morning and also from Harwich Road at 9am on a Sat morning (VC Revolution) and 9am at the Albert PH on Cowdray Avenue (also all men!).
They are all weekend rides though - I think that a group also rides from the triathlon shop '53-12' (off Cowdray Avenue opposite Leisure World) in the week - not sure what day though.
What sort of distances are you used to covering? Are you new to cycling altogether?0
