Find out the camera model: I am sure the experts will give you some friendly and helpful tips on how to get the best out of what you have.0

Btw, just in case, you know that you press the shutter button halfway until the camera focuses to the object and when a green light appears then you press it fully.
You've allready knew that, wright?0 -
thanks xtreem was take on a sony ericson c905 using best pic, great feature.

COMMENT ON THE RIDING PLEASE.0 -
The riding looks a little tame to me. Don't see the need for the full face at all!

I think he's actually asking people to comment on the riding and not the quality of the photos as indicated in the title of the thread.
Looks alright to me although on the one approaching a Berm you look like a 9 year old on a 21" bike. Did you shrink?0 -

Thats actually part of this little DH track but like I don't have my other helmet as it broke when my brother decided to slam it against a wall as hard as he could....0 -
When this thread started I was not sure what It was I was supposed to comment on, the photography or the riding, still not sure. It's not a ornament, so ride It0

He's doing alright, everyone has to start somewhere in both riding and photography.....
Here are a few frames I shot at the bike fest mate.

I don't think anyone does. I also get the feeling any honest opinions will cause upset to the OP.
^^^^ What he said.
Seriously fella, I think you are fighting something of a losing battle with this one. The camera you have will be up to the job, but you may need to work a bit harder to get good shots.0 -

Come on guys give him a break, he has come on here to share a common interest, not get ripped to shreds.
You all bitch and moan about the bike snobs, don't do the same to this fella.
AndyKing, your riding looks ok, leaning it more on the berms will look good. Try to capture some good scenery in your next shoot. If you have an interest in DH, get to a demo day to test some rigs out for free.0 -
Not taking the p!ss, just not sure what he's asking. It's not a ornament, so ride It0

people are just offering their genuine opinion, that's all.
many people including myself have offered support, i don't see the problem. I don't think anyone is being snob-ish.LOL road riding.0 -
in my opinion a better camera will help. i struggled with a cheap compact camera even if i set it to the fastest setting it still had a delay and timeing was hard to judge when shooting mtb action,..
i decided to go down the digi slr root cost a fair bit but i was proud of the results,.
i still have a lot to learn and would love to know how to use my camera propperly, here's a few shots i took on hol in may.
Doombrain have you any good tips/advice for a novice novice.www.bearbackbiking.com

with good light like that there's two things you can try. up the ISO to about 400 and the speed to 125 -f4/f5.6 to capture the movement or drop the ISO with a speed of 60 and try to track the riders face.
on the camera there should be some focus mode options. some lenses work better than others but look for a mode that automatically tracks the subject and see if you can work with that.
always use the flash if you can but mind it doesn't override your shutter speed.LOL road riding.0 -
