    In my opinion you need to be fitter to ride a hardtail as fast as a FS.

    Since my mate bought his Mongoose Canaan a few weeks ago I have been struggling to keep up with him. Its not that I don't think I could keep up, it's just I now need to work a whole lot harder.

    A full sus allows you to conserve energy due to the ability to be able stay seated for longer.
