Hamstring/back of leg injury

Hi
For months (stupidly enough ) I have been getting pains in the back of both of my thighs, mainly my left one. Sometimes the discomfort moves down to the left behind my knee, where maybe a tendon/ligament is
It seems OK after an hour or so if I havent pushed too had but when out with my club I cant guarantee I wont.
I know warming up seems like the ideal thing but sometimes I dont get the time too. Maybe I should make time - I know.
I have played a good standard of squash for years at approximately 4 games a week. My game is very explosive/energetic.
Someone told me that cycling shortens hamstrings and I guess squash wants long ones. I am guessing this could be how I came about the injury.
I just wondered if anyone else has suffered a similar injury and how they got over it. I want to repair it and not just mask it by warming up. I have not seen a physio yet as my local one never seems to be able to locate my problems.
Cheers

Hi
Check your saddle is not too high. The combination of a too straight knee and leaning forwards will put pressure onto your hamstrings.
Do you spend a lot of time on the drops?

Sounds like a high saddle...0

Cheers.
I spend very little time on the drops.
Maybe I will lower my saddle slightly and see how that goes.
Apart from that pain though I have not thought the saddle was too high.0 -
I lowered the saddle and have been out a couple of times. Once my leg hurt much less, the second time it hurt but I think it was aching.
BikeDynamics, my knee was too straight before IMO now.
will see how I get on but need my leg to stop aching a bit first.

Could also be a problem in your lower back which is leading to pain down the path of the sciatic nerve. Might be worth doing some back exercises to see whether that helps.0
