  • At the time I lived about 12 miles away from where this mountain lion attack killed a cyclist.

I used to work for the National Trust in the North East. A couple of rangers swore blind that they saw a puma in the wilds. They weren't the sort of fellas to BS. I believe you mate! I'd like to see one myself but I haven't heard of any near Preston......

Once on hamsterley black with my brother I saw something pure black about the size of a labrador run into the undergrowth, jumped off my bike but couldnt see anything.

It happened so quick I never got a proper look at it, but I did find the skull of a ram under a fallen tree which made me think how did it get there !!

Still have the skull in my back garden ha ha !!

I err ho hum....would that be a Labrador then?! They do do them in Black you know :P

I saw a peacock crossing the road when i was riding back from a 10k race last weekend, very odd.

I've also had a huge stag bound out of the forest (proper flying leap) right in front of me. If i'd me a metre further down i'd have had a front hoof to the head

All hills appear to do that if you're standing on the top...

I think know what he means - there's a hill on the Isle of Mann which is something of an optical illusion; to do with the horizon I seem to remember. Forget the name - I'm sure it's on the net somewhere.

I believe it is somewhere south of ayre on the coast, as i went on holiday there and i drove by the big stone plaque several times in the week before stopping to read about the optical illusion.
