This may sound a bit pervy but trust me its just curiosity as a 16 yr old

How far can you legally go sex wise without having sex if you are under 16?
I heard on the radio technically snogging is illegal?

I assume 'snogging' is fine, providing it is consensual. Regardless, any advice you receive on a mtb forum probably wont stand up in court. I think what you are looking for is a solicitor. You might also like to change your name to avoid the local lynch-mob.

It's all down to personal opinion as to where the line should be drawn. Obviously penetration is too far but what is the next step after kissing? I'd suggest manual manipulation of either parties sexual organs would be crossing the line.

I've never heard about snogging being a crime between under 16s - if so then the entire UK would be a prison!

There is definitely an issue with someone over 16 messing around in any way with someone under 16 - and that includes things like pics being taken on mobile phones and sent on.

There are also laws about people in positions of trust abusing their power like doctors, teachers, etc

But if you are 2 kids in love and are almost the same age then there is rarely, from my preception of browsing the news, any legal issues.

But you'd be best phoning childline or similar to be sure.

Seriously tho' mate the 16/15 thing is still illegal for actual sex. As far as I'm aware because nobody is 13 or under and the oldest is under 18 and therefore still legally a child, then its up to the discretion of the prosecutor (and also parent pressure) if you are charged and put on the sex offenders register.
And the thing about that is that is its not just working with kids that you'd be screwed with, but also any data handling jobs like in IT, or doing accounts for a childrens nursery, etc, etc.

I'm not trying to freak you out,but its important to know that sometimes our actions have consequences and pregnancy and prison are pretty high on the list of BIG ones!

So if all it means is waiting a few months for her to turn 16 to take off the pressure and make it specail, then its worth thinking about....

My "friend" says it depends how gobby she is. If she can keep secrets for a few more months then my "friend says dont do it just in case after all its only a few more months and a few of us of the same age that arent that lucky to be offered sex have to hold it back anyway. My friend is a fairly trust worthy guy. Lets face it, if she loses the v, her friends will find out pretty quickly
