    Now I'm all hungry. I can sense that my porridge is going to be a disappointment when it's ready, now. :(

    The last *good* chippie tea that i had was about 3 months ago in Alderly, near Macclesfield, of all places. It advertised itself as the "best chip shop in England". 2 days later i had a fish tea in Cornwall and I'd have to agree with the Alderly chippie. Haddock and chips with salt n vinegar and a bit of lemon.

    They also offered me a "barm cake", and I had visions of the Life of Brian and had to suppress a giggle (a Balm?! Why d'you wanna give him a balm? It might bite him!)
    After much too-ing and fro-ing and comedy not understanding each others accents, it turns out that a barm cake is actually just a roll... :roll:
