Thanks for all the recomendations so far..
I'd narrowed it down on paper to a Viner Magnifica/Perfecta or a Wilier Izoard.
Then the Casati and Ciocc crop up.. at a dealer nearby! Not brands I'm familair with. Although I once had a Casati overtake me so I guess that's good! :) I like the idea of buying from a smaller Italian brand. More googling and a visit to Racescene and the Viner dealer in Leeds methinks!
If you get a chance to test the cento uno, grab it, cos I guarantee you would buy it if you tried it.

Stay clear of Tomassini. They're great frames but the bloke who imports them is an A R S E!

This list is quite dated and incomplete! But largely correct.

Not in the same price range though is it? If you're going to consider a Cento then you may as well also consider try the high end Colnagos, Viner Mitus / Maxima etc too.

Oh I agree but what I am trying to get at is the ride quality of the cento uno is great.

Just read the review of the Cento Uno; ride quality apart, for that kind of investment I'd want them to have sorted out the shifting issues
