    Actually I was just curious.

Amazing that you, who claims to remain objective over many controversial topics, is yet so willing to jump to such conclusions to form a defence.

    Form a defence to what?

You raise the issue of my ethnic background.

    I have nothing to defend.

This thread has every potential of becoming really distasteful.

I agree with you, but then again, so do lots of things, but that is no reason not to discuss or debate such issues.

To ignore or avoid discussing such issues is to play into the hands of the extremists.

No, I asked you what your ethnic background was.
    See here:
@Spen666, I would love to know your ethnic background?

The above is asking a question, not raising an issue.

I raised no issue as to what you ethnicity may be. No implication was made it was just a question.

Ironicallly you made my asking a very reasonable question, after all it isn't rude to ask in almost all circumstances, into an issue with your rant and post complete with card playing accusations.

Ahh the racism card being played is it?

What difference does my race make? Are my views somehow correct if I am one race and wrong if I am a different race?

What my race is should be irrelevant to this debate, unless you are going to judge me on the basis of my race.

so what difference does my race make? [ Oh and BTW- you may be suprised if you know my ethnic background- its not what you may think it is]

Again I point out, to reinforce that my post that sparked your response clearly does not play any card, racism or otherwise. It doesn't imply that your views are any less valid because of your ethnicity.

Your race is irrelevant to the this debate, but it might hold sway as to why you have an interest in the subject, it may not. Curiousity got the better of me.

So while I apologise for asking you what is clearly an uncomfortable question for you, your jump to accusations of a race card being played were wild and unfounded.

It was just an innocent question.

  • FWIW, I think by and large the great British population are tollerant when it comes to racial integration. There obviously are racist elements in society but they are by no means confined to white people.

What does make me laugh, is, the Daily Mail deploring the election of BNP politians when all the BNP do is persue policies that the DM espouses. :?
