Hi guys.
Im going to be doing the bealach na ba in september and i have some questions about training for it.
I'v had a practice run of the route a few weeks ago and i was quite pleased with it overall. Im not too worried about the hill but what i did find was that i really struggled towards the end.
Im currently a student doing a summer placement and my contract ends soon which means i'll have 3 weeks off to get ready.
My general plan is to do a longish, flattish ride mondays, wednesdays and fridays and then some shorter, more intense intervals or hill climbs in between (if i feel up to it - short, slow recovery ride if im still struggling from the day before). Then rest over the weekends.
I dont have a clue about the science of it and my plan is based on reading other posts on here so i'd appreciate any of your opinions and advice on the best way to improve the distance i can ride.
