Night cycling (Richmond Park)

Often use richmond park to train in during the day, but the constant chain of overtaking cars really annoys me and distracts from the great scenery on offer. Anway i've heard that after dusk is a good time to go, when there are no cars. Was thinking about trying this, but just wanna ask if, firstly, people actually do cycle after dusk? Secondly, if you can actually see anything in front of you and therefore it perhaps being dangerous, and finally if its actually pleasant at night or if I'm better off sticking with the daytime.

Cheers!

You'll be fine as long as you've got off-road quality lights. The deer are reasonably easy to spot, but the wabbits can be little buggers...

talking of little buggers, if it's a mild evening beware of furtivness in the bushes too

I cycled last autum/winter around RP with a simple LED cateye. It's more than enough.

The only time it's under owered is when oncomming cyclists with their mega billion candle nuclear powered searchlights blinded me. Seriously, wtf is it with those lights? They're far to bright for the roads.

There's some sort of torch arms race going on in there.

I'm hoping to be doing some laps from around 8pm on Wednesday. Hope those suicidal rabbits are not at the bottom of broomfield hill
