just been for a ride round Rendlsham, worst thing was a bus load of specials running half naked round the car park screaming and freaking out the kids, best thing was helping the three attractive young ladies a puncture half way round. It's nice and sunny here today
Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

    Who are you calling inbred?

A few months back me and my mate were doing an exploratory ride on the Forest of Dean dirt roads we decided to follow the (dirt) path to Coleford. On the way we saw the Darkhill Ironworks for the first time. My mate pointed something out to me. I couldn't believe it, on the other side of the ironworks there were two OAP women posing naked while their OAP hubbies took photos of them. I was speechless. We just got back on our bikes and rode off.

On that same route another time I saw heaven, a lovely nubile female dog walker saw us riding towards her, so she leaned forward to grab her little dog by the collar and revealed what I can only describe as gravity defying orbs of perfection.
Me and my were so distracted by the site before us we almost collided much to her amusement.
I also came across a dead sheep on a dirt road in the Forest of Dean too.

In Swinley I've found a few abandoned (burnt out, corroded) road motorcycles, one was a Honda VF400 for sure.. I still cannot believe clowns steal and dump bikes in bloody forests.

Watch out for the bears in the FoD, especially around Ruardean.

I once saw a heron take off ahead of me when riding in Holland, even though it was a good 20 foot away it was blooody huge and I ducked out of instinct even though there was no chance of us colliding.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Erm.. "bears" as in Baloo out of the jungle book?
If so, I had no idea there are wild bears in England

Moose poop. Luckily no moose so far. Apparently quite dangerous.

It's not the best to be honest, Bo'ness wood is a wee bit better
Yeah its not great. I have found one bit that is really fun, you know the bit where you go downhill at like 25 mph and you have to hop over the drainage things across the track.
Are ther trails in Bo'ness woods? What are the chances of being mugged by NEDs? :P
    cheers
  • I have had the pleasure of riding along beside a fox, an owl, multiple buzzards and a wildcat. Also spotted another unidentified large cat like creature!!!

Goes back to many moons ago, Google will be your saviour for the story of the bears on the FoD. The only bares you're likely to see these days are from people walking their dog late at night

  • Deer, red squirrel, scary looking dude with scars looking for something in the bushes a mile into the woods, professional women with customer, ginger kid going for 3rd base, a close up of the ground.
  • Biggest fright I ever had with wild animals was a grouse flying up from almost right under my feet. I nearly crapped myself. Wasn't on a bike at the time though!

  • On my ride this morning I saw this moored in Douglas bay:

Well impressive. Apparently, it used to belong to Roman Abramovic, he gave it to his mate as a prezzy! Wish I had mates like that. Going to see if I can pop back down later and get some of my own pics. With anylook, the helicopter will be back on-board by then.

i see this monkey all the time, i'm pretty sure it's the same one.
  • Just been back and got this shot. To get an idea of how huge this thing is, check out the people stood on the helipad, you can also see the mast of the racing yacht which is mounted at the opposite side to that speedboat. At 370ft long she is the 17th largest private yacht in the world and is powered by 2x3,600hp Wärtsilä engines (for those who care):

Of course, this one is a mere pleasure cruiser compared to Abromovich's new baby, the 560ft Eclipse

Plenty of doggers up Woodbury in East Devon.

Think I've seen the lot now...mainly boobs but the worst was the bloke have a 'Splash 'n' Dash' in the headlights of a dogger.

Ummm might rethink the night ride at woodbury then....

Make sure you have mudguards and sealskins on

Something "shower-proof" might be advisable.

Well today I was out riding around Leith Hill, Peaslake etc. and within the space of 20min I saw the hottest female mountain bikers I've ever seen over my 20 year riding career. Whoever you are I salute you ;-)

After waiting 20 minutes on the cwmcarn trail, I saw my mate giving up and riding along the forest drive back to the car park, shouting up to me 'It's too hard'. :( Fair enough.

I finished my mars bar, took a sip of water and and carried on.

Oh well, at least I managed to do half of it.

    I missed this thread somehow.
Don't know if this counts as something I "saw" whilst riding, but a couple of weeks ago, I was coming home along a country lane, and I heard some noise in a field just next to the road.
Now, being a country lad, I'm used to animals making all kinds of unexpected sounds, so I giggled to myself thinking, "my god, those cows / sheep / whatever they are sound just like people getting it on!!"

Turns out, it WAS! as I got closer, I heard a woman's voice shout..
    "Sh*t, someone#s coming, get dressed"

I ride in the Forest Of Dean when I go back to visit family, see plenty of Deer and Wild Boar on a few occasions.
Last time I saw a group Lamas being walked through the forest. I stopped and asked another cyclist about them (the Forest is a proper weird place), he said people pay to walk them, oh well simple pleasures for......
