I have to say I was quite impressed when Jnr was watching Newsround on Sunday and the first sports story was about the TdF, Cav's stage win and then Contador's overall at the end as a "oh by the way".

I was also surprised when they had a 60 second report the following morning about stage 8. Although the presenter was probably reading off auto cue, she referred to the winner of the stage as "little known Luis Leon Sanchez", he's certainly not a rider I'd refer to as "little known" if I was writing the report.

You are doing a great job for us on 5-live. However, you do work for a corporation and you are therefore our best hope of inside influence. So, take a look at this from the BBC Sport website:

Page last updated at 17:52 GMT, Tuesday, 28 July 2009 18:52 UK

"Wiggins drops track for Tour bid

Wiggins joined Robert Millar as the best British finisher in the Tour
Triple Olympic gold medallist Bradley Wiggins will not ride on the track for the next two years in order to focus solely on the Tour de France.

Wiggins finished fourth in this year's Tour, equalling the best finish by a Briton in the race's 96-year history. "

Does anyone at the BEEB want to buy a centenary Tour riding top? I've got one and it is only 6 years old. A bargain. Really!

Put another way, if someone had inadvertantly suggested that England won the world cup in 1956, how long would it have remained on the website before correction? Less than four days, I'll wager!
